AeonLoop
About

Chicago based. Global portfolio.

AeonLoop advises sovereign governments, institutional investors, and corporations on environmental finance with a capital markets focus.

The firm

AeonLoop was founded on a specific view: that environmental assets fail to attract institutional capital not because the underlying activity is unsound, but because the instruments presented to investors are not built to the standards those investors are required to apply. Correcting that is an architecture problem, and architecture is what the firm does.

The problems clients bring us rarely sit inside a single discipline. A structure that is elegant in legal terms can fail an accounting test; a program that is politically achievable can be unfinanceable; an instrument that satisfies a risk committee can be impossible for a ministry to administer. We staff engagements so that those questions are worked through together rather than handed between specialists in sequence, and we bring in outside expertise where a mandate calls for it.

We work in English and Spanish, and we are experienced working inside ministries, SOEs, investment committees, working groups, boards, and with internal and external counsel.
